Announcement: Drinks Reception Supported by Symplectic Added to the Programme

We are delighted to announce that on Thursday 1st August, the evening of our first busy day of Repository Fringe 2013, there will be a Drinks Reception supported by one of our fabulous sponsors, Symplectic.

The Drinks Reception will be an opportunity for all attending to chat about the first day’s talks and discussions, to connect with our Developer Challenge participants and to network in a relaxed atmosphere.

Attendees relax at the Repository Fringe 2011 Developer Challenge-supported drinks reception. We will be indoors this year (as we may not have the sunshine) this year but we can guarantee it will be relaxing, a great way to network, and very sociable.

The reception will take place in the early evening to allow all at Repository Fringe plenty of time to mingle and chat but leaving plenty of the evening left to explore the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, which will just be starting (and will be in slightly cheaper Preview mode).

Huge thanks to Symplectic, a leading developer of integrated research information management systems, for making this Drinks Reception possible.

I am Digital Education Manager and Service Manager at EDINA, a role I share with my colleague Lorna Campbell. I was previously Social Media Officer for EDINA working across all projects and services. I am interested in the opportunities within teaching and learning for film, video, sound and all forms of multimedia, as well as social media, crowdsourcing and related new technologies.
